→"a military equipment"が方法(a method)というのはおか しいですよね。
(B) as a method protecting
→equipementに対するappositiveならまだしも"as a 〜"はさ らに？
(C) protecting
→equipmentを修飾するmodifierということで問題なし。
(D) as a protection of
→(B)におなじかつ"protection"の名詞は意味的にもなん だかわかりません。
(E) to ptotect
→infinitiveをmodifierで使うのはおかしいですよね。
