One in seven では、7つのjobのうちの1つという意味（つまり、one of seven jobs)と解釈したので、アメリカ全体のjobの7分の1というニュアンスを出せないと思いました。
そもそもはone in seven という表現を見慣れなかったので切ったというのが正直なところですが、one in 数+複数名詞というのは、定型表現なのでしょうか？
