この問題では、

(1) try to do to do
(2) try doing to do
(3) try to do so that SV

がポイントになっているように思うのですが、try to do と try doing にＧＭＡＴ的な優劣はあるのでしょうか？私の経験では、多くの場合、try to do がＧＭＡＴでは正解になると思っていたのですが、このケースではtry doingが正解のため、ちょっと困惑しています。ご意見お聞かせください。
