文法としては成り立つと思いますけど、一般に"after"は、「時」或いは「順序関係」を表すのに用いられると思います。

問題文をみると、現在形で書かれている事からも、前後関係に重点が置かれていると言うよりはむしろ、一般的な「現象」を表していると思います。従って文意からも、Factual Conditional（ifを使って）で表すのが一般的ではないでしょうか？
