私は、as/likeの場合は、
動詞の時制が同じ場合は省略できるけど、
異なる場合は省略不可で、動詞が必要→asと理解してます。
前の文はisだけど、下線部はwasを使わないといけないから、likeではダメ。よってasを使う(E)が正解でどうでしょうか？
