数学がとどこおっちゃって
自分を慰めるために書いてるようなものですが
お役に立てればうれしく思います。
簡単にご説明できるものだけとりあげますが
よろしければ参考にしてください。
> Ｑ1 同格のthatって消えることってありましたか？
もうすこし具体的に。。。
that節のことですか？
それとも指示詞のthatかな？？
> Ｑ2 Civil Right are the freedoms and rights ----- as a member of a community, state, or nation.
> (A)may have a person
> (B)may have a person who
> (C)a person may have
> (D)and a person may have
> 答えは（Ｃ）なのですが主文のＳはCivil Right でＶがare、freedoms rights がＣで文型終わりって考えたらa personっていう名詞が来るのはなぜかな？って思います。
いやな形ですが
倒置です。
本当の主語は
freedoms and rights
> Ｑ3 Research in the United States on acupuncture has focused on it use in pain relief and anesthesia. （間違っている部分はどこかっていう問題で。。）
> 答えはit。でもどうなおせばいいのかがわかりません。itを除くだけですか？
acupuncture をさすitsに直します
> Ｑ4 Fish are the most ancient form of vertebrate life,and --------all other vertebrates.
> (A)from them evolved
> (B)evolved them
> (C)to evolve
> (D)they are evolved
> 答えは(A)。私はわけがわからず（Ｄ）を選びました。。lifeまでで文型終わってるからまたＳ’をもってきてもいいかなと。。。なんでＡかわかりません。
これも倒置の一種。
この場合「進化した」が文意なのでare evolved という受身をとって
いるＤははずします。
> Ｑ5 During the Jurassic period plant life was abundance,providing herbivores in particular with a plentiful supply of food.
> 答えは(A)。なんかfoodがfoodsじゃなくていいのかな、、とかおもいつつfoodを選択。。abundanceは名詞でlife=abundanceはおかしいため 間違いってことはわかったけどなにに直せばいいかがわかりません。後foodは加算名詞でfoodsにしなくていいんですか？笑
Aというのがよくわかんないんですが。
ただしい形は形容詞のabundant
foodって不可算でも表せます。
（たまに両方可という名詞があります。その場合意味が微妙に
変わります）
> Ｑ6 Asteroids may be fragments of a planet shattered long ago or from material the nuclei of old comets.
> 答えはfrom material。or がfrom materialと何をつなげているかがわからなくて選んで合っていましたが どう訂正すればいいのですか？
material(s?) from the nuclei of old cometsが正しい。
> Ｑ7 Although they reflect a strong social conscience,Arthur Miller's state works are typical more concerned with individuals than with systems.
> 答えはtypical。あってたんですが 変な形だなっとおもって選んだだけで どう直せばいいかわかりません。
typicallyが正しい。
> Ｑ8 While highly prized for symbolizing good luck, the four-leaf clover is rarity found in nature.
> これは、、コンマの前の文型が全然わかりません。Whileは接続詞なのにＳとＶがどれかわかりません。答えはrarityなのですが、、、ん？って感じです。(;^_^A
while 節とそのあとの節の主語、動詞が同じ場合while節の主語動詞は
省略できます。
rarelyが正しい。
> Ｑ9 Homo erectus is the name commonly given into the primate species fom which humans are believed to have evolved.
> 答えはinto。何になおせばいいんでしょう。
「〜に与える」でgiveとペアになるのはto。
toが正しい。
> Ｑ10 Amerian painter Georgia O'Keeffe is well known as her large paintings of flowers in which single blossoms are presented as if in close-up.
> 答えはasです。byになおせばいいんでしょうか？
最初のasですね？?
それならば「〜で知られている」でknow とペアになるのはfor
（known by friendsのときもありますがこれはどちらかと言うと
例外）
