この問題で、(a)と(c)まで絞れるのですが、なぜ、(a)がだめで(c)がＯＫなのでしょうか？(a)と(c)で同じ意味なら、もちろん平易な表現の(c)でしょうが、(a)と(c)はちょっと違った意味にもとれますし。どうでしょうか？
